ABOUT THE BLAME

A Culpa do Joni (Joni's Fault) is João Rijo's fault — an alter ego that did not come this far to exist as mere entertainment.

Restlessness arises from necessity, not a whim — it inhabits music, image, word, and skin. Creation is born from a conscious willingness to take risks, refusing to become just another product of the internet — or worse, more accumulated noise within it.

He works across several fields — singer-songwriter, designer, illustrator, tattoo artist, performer — but above all as someone searching for new ways to give voice to what exists outside algorithms and trends.

His work lives between the personal and the collective; from song to poster; from paper to skin; from pencil to screen; from the streets to the networks.

It moves through songs that rise like hymns, visual collaborations and curatorial work. In more intimate authorship — beyond music — through painting and cartoons, he preserves memories many would rather forget.

Each projects is an attempt to create noise against anesthisia: to interrupt the flow of disposable attention, open space for experience, awaken thought, and encourage critical reflection.

I DON'T CREATE CONTENT. I make insomnia.

A Culpa do Joni is a place where creativity becomes viral:
IT STRIKES THROUGH NUMBNESS.
